About Leeasha

I'm a NYU graduate continuing my education a Columbia University to be an Elementary school teacher. I am deeply enthusiastic about working with children, witnessing their curiosity and nurturing their growth brings me joy as an educator and caregiver. My background includes classroom experience as well as years of individual caregiving. I've lead lessons in culinary, art, nature and movement. During the pandemic, I facilitated a learning pod, coordinating various daily learning schedules, providing homework assistance, and prioritizing safety. I've managed camps, where I handled lesson planning, time management, safety measures and guardian communication. I value relationships with families, and designing my time with the kids based on their interests and needs; from trips to the library, park and zoo to story time, Lego building and snack making at home. It's important to me children feel heard and respected. I am patient, responsible and creative.
