I grew up with a single parent and a younger sister who is diagnosed with autism. Part of my role growing up was being her support system and making sure she is getting what she needs at school. I am familiar with different pragmatics one may have with autism and other special needs. I am comfortable being a support for those with special needs and am very flexible with different personalities. I have participated with service with Special Olympics and am the Service Coordinator at my university for our conjoined event with Special Olympics Maryland, this occurs in the spring of 2020.
