About Leah

I am looking for a senior health care position because I enjoy being with the elderly. This job is something I have always wanted to do. I started in 2015 at The Pines of Clarkston, I knew I didn't want to do anything other than being a Aide for the elderly after that. I enjoy helping them feel like they can do most anything they used to do with a little bit of help from someone who cares for them like family. I have assisted with many different situations from bathing, helping with the bathroom, brief changing, feeding, catheters and medications. I have worked in memory care, so I am very familiar with Alzheimer and dementia along with Parkinson's. I know and understand it takes a special kind of patients to really understand what they are going through. While I was working at The Pines I took a class on Alzheimer and dementia given by a heart to heart hospice nurse who I later started working for. I am CPR certified, and am a registered nurse who loves what I do.
