About Laurie

I have recently retired, after 25 amazing years as a child care Director at an elementary school. Also recently and just as important, I had the privilege of caring for my mother who suffered from Alzheimer's/Dementia for many years. Although there were days when it was more difficult than others, I wouldn't trade the time, the compassion, and the reassurance I was able to give my mom throughout the remainder of her life. I think it's truly the best way to give back to someone that was always there for me. My mom taught me to always try and pay it forward, so I am going to do my best to be there for others that may need a helping hand.
