About Lauren

I'm a FT professional working at an educational non-profit who enjoys tutoring and childcare on the side. I previously taught high school biology and have a bachelor's degree in a liberal arts area of study. I feel comfortable tutoring in English, Social Studies, and some Sciences at up to a high school level. I also have experience working as a Personal Care Assistant, so I'm comfortable with all ranges of mental and physical abilities. Happy to work with families on a one-time basis, but most interested in establishing routine and consistent care schedules or a solid relationship for as-needed care (i. e. for date nights or events). I really enjoy household management tasks (laundry, organizing, general tidying, meal prepping, dishes) and am happy to also talk through taking on that additional work for an extra fee. I love pets and always consider their care just part of the job :)
