About Lauren

Hello! I just graduated from UVA with a biomedical engineering degree and I am taking a gap year before applying to medical school. I am looking for a way to make a little extra cash while doing something I really enjoy, which is teach. While I don't have any formal training, I have always enjoyed helping out my classmates throughout school, and I love anything math and science related, so hopefully I could get you or your child excited about it too! I consider myself to be very patient and I am able to go through problems step-by-step, since I understand the feeling of being overwhelmed and confused by a subject, as I needed a lot of help myself throughout middle and high school. For scheduling, weekends or evenings would be ideal - I could also do midday sessions, but my schedule is less set then so it would hard to schedule regular sessions. As for age, middle school or older would be best. Thanks!
