About Lauren

I've been tutoring/mentoring since back in high school with the Grand Blanc Middle School Robotics team. Every week, 3-4 times a week, I'd meet with these middle school students to not only help them achieve their academic and creative goals in the STEM field, but also foster a wonderful positive relationship with them. I found that I loved this work not only for the joy of education, but also for the impact it had on these students' lives. Fast forward a few years and I was a teacher's assistant for a beginning engineering course at Michigan Technological University for two years in a row. Although university students were more advanced in their education, the same principles of teaching applied from what I learned tutoring middle school students. Due to personal reasons, I have not yet obtained my college degree, and have put a pause on its completion. However, this does not mean that all those years have gone to waste, neither in experience nor education.
