About Lauren

I have years of experience caring for people of diverse ages, whether that be in a professional or non-professional setting. In the past, I worked as an advocate for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and I supported people through very difficult times. Throughout my time in this field, I developed many skills including active listening, safety planning, and being able to stay calm under high-stress environments. I believe these skills can transfer well into working with seniors, especially those who may be suffering from dementia or other ailments. I currently work a few days a week as a nanny, caring for a 17-month-old child. I truly love the connections caregiving brings. Being there to support another person and grow through difficult moments, or moments of joy, is very fulfilling. I believe caring for others compassionately is the foundation to building strong, healthy communities.
