About Laura

Hello, my name is Laura. I am a district employee at Detroit Public Schools Community District in the Office of School Nutrition. I have experience doing nutrition education in classrooms from K-12, and currently supervise a team of 8 that do the same. I teach existing (and also create new) curriculum that connects to a wide range of subjects including but not limited to science, math, reading, social studies. I have experience volunteering at a few schools as a tutor as well. My passion is education and I love working with children of all ages!
