I believe ALL students are capable of learning & find joy in helping kids/parents learn how to connect the dots of communication. Navigating cognitive needs in addition to academics is a space I don't shy away from & would love to help you with! Before teaching, I worked as a nurse & grasped the skill set of compassion & honesty for working with often misunderstood children. I've recently moved from TX, where I was finishing my MA in clinical mental health & a nanny, to WA. Prior TX, I worked exclusively with Catholic School K-12 parents, in GA, as a private academic/emotionally impaired tutor. Whilst tutoring I was employed with the Department of Defense Education Activity teaching & substituting for 4 years. I have taught 1st & 2nd Grade Elementary & 8th Grade Mathematics/Inclusion Math. I'm qualified in classrooms pr-k to 8th grade. I'm choosing to do individual hourly care or respite for parents who, understandably, need an extra hand. References upon request.
