About Laura

Throughout high school I babysat regularly for several families. When I started college, I began teaching part-time at a preschool and daycare and eventually became a full-time teacher. I did this throughout my first semester of college until I went away to college in Tennessee. I have experience teaching classes of children between the ages of two and four. My second child care job was in after-school care at a child care center in Tennessee. My experience there included serving snacks, assisting in homework, and playing with the kids. I also worked with the 2-year-old classroom during my time at the daycare in Powell, TN. I have experience directing and working in the children's ministries at my church. This has included working with infants and toddlers and helping teach school-age children. I have also been a nanny for over a year to infant twins. I have a Bachelor's in Music, and I am certified in reading intervention & CELTA. I currently teach ESL part-time.
