About Laura

I'd describe my personality as adventurous, resourceful, and friendly with a great sense of humor! I like working with kids because I am consistently reminded that we each possess a special quality that is unique to us. I'm looking for a job that allows for an equal amount of challenge and flexibility in regards to routine. I have a wide array of skills and interests which help me to adapt to any situation with ease. I started working with kids when I was 13 years old beginning with local neighborhood families and as a summer camp counselor for several years before going to college. I have continued to educate children through my work on local farms and small businesses as well as a private nanny for various families wherever I choose to live at the time. In my spare time, I like to create, garden, cook delicious meals, play music and go on hikes with my dog, Shimmy. My skills include creative thinking, outdoor activities, conflict resolution, and cheering up!
