About Laura

I am graduating from Syracuse in May with a degrees in Elementary and Special Education. I am very passionate about working with kids to create fun hands on experiences and I would be so excited to work with a family to help add support and fun for their children this summer while I am home from school. I have experience tutoring students in reading, and I feel comfortable working with students K-6th on math and reading if that is wanted. I also would love to help create a fun hands on learning experiences for the summer. Being a camp counselor has given me practice in creating fun crafts, running fun games, and overall creating a safe fun environment for kids. I started working with kids when I was 15 years old. I have been a counselor at sleep away camp working with kids ages 8-15. I have also worked at a camp for students who have special needs ages 6-21. I have student taught in several special education settings. I have experience student teaching in grades 1-5.
