About Monae

Offering assistance with child care and tutoring needs! I have experience taking care of children of all ages. I have babysat infants, toddlers, young children, and young teens alike between the ages of 3 months - 14 years old. I am the eldest of 4 siblings, and about 13 cousins. My whole life I have been around children and I have loved taking care of them. I spend most of my time engaging in active outdoor activities with my siblings or the children I babysit. I am very well organized and I can handle any child. I have tutored students K-12. I have recently completed my degree at UCSB, where I was employed for 5 years providing tutoring and mentoring services to local students. Outside of educating I enjoy outdoor activities and arts & crafts. I'm an artist and quite creative in my spare time. I am hoping to be a help to families in need of assistance, whether it be babysitting for a few hours, housework, or helping with school work, I'll be there for you!

Monae was an amazing sitter for us when we had the opportunity to have her care for our boys. We have 2 boys who can be a handful and she always knew what to do. She kept them busy with fun age appropriate activities and they always had good times She is honest, reliable and punctual which is VERY important to us. Monae has been mature beyond her years since the day we met her and even though we were not surprised that she was excepted by multiple colleges and had to leave we are still very sad. She built a strong relationship with our children and she will not ever be able to be replaced. We wish her the best and know any one who has the pleasure of having her for a sitter will not be disappointed!
