I have been working with children and youth with developmental and intellectual disabilities for the past 3 years. I have experience both in Early intervention (18months-3years) and with youth (12-21). In my Early Intervention teaching role I facilitated ABA style trail work for children with social delays. I also managed them through their daily programs and facilitated gross motor skills, social-emotional skills building, as well as assisted with OT and speech services. In My role with youth I work as a teacher and facilitate fun engaging lessons plans centered on building social, emotional, and independent skills. We also frequently (pre-covid) go out into the community to participate in educational and independent learning opportunities. Alongside this I participate in writing ISP goals (IEP equivalent), individualized daily goal tracking, and behavioral interventions. I am also currently pursuing my MA in Educational Specialist with a School Psychology credential.
