My interests include being active, (working out, going for walks, parks, etc.) reading, learning, cooking, movies, and participating in creative activities (for example I'm having a gingerbread house making contest in my family!). Of course, one of my main interests are helping people. I especially have a soft spot for helping children. I recently graduated LVN school and I want to pursue my RN. Due to my medical background I have experience with all different kinds of diagnoses. I've handled patients with respiratory disorders, heart disorders, vision/hearing/speech impairments, paraplegic, autism, cognitive disorders, behavior disorders, etc. I've performed all tasks that are associated with each disorder. For example, when dealing with respiratory disorders I know how to safely handle and manage an oxygen tank, usage of inhalers, count respiratory rate, etc. I know how to handle all assistive devices (canes, wheelchairs, etc.) I know how to safely assist with all activities of daily living for individuals such as showers, brushing teeth, etc. My medical background is a huge advantage because I am conscious of safety precautions and why its implemented. I'm lucky to love what I do!
