About Krista

Krista lives in Lakewood and has 11 years of experience teaching. She has a bachelor's degree in early childhood and a master's degree in special education: literacy. She works in Denver as a special education teacher (K-4.) She supports executive functioning skills, such as organization and study skills and uses a scope and sequence with goal setting as a way to motivate. She connects the learning to your child's interests and makes learning hands-on. She uses multi-sensory learning, so don't be surprised if you see her and your child jumping up and down to add or using manipulatives to spell tricky words. She believes in supporting the whole child--this includes social-emotional development. To get ready for learning, she uses science-based breathing techniques to relieve children from any anxiety or nerves.
