I have been in the child care business for 8+ years and have had extensive training and experience with children with special needs. I have been working with special needs children of all ages and have attended events for special needs children. I volunteered numerous times for teachers in each school I have attended. I am going to be attended GCU this August for my dual major in special and regular education. I currently work with a family who has a 3-year-old child with Angelman syndrome. I provide a nurturing environment and I am learning how to use ABA therapy to improve daily skills! I love working with kids who are unique and inquisitive in their own natural way. I have the creativity to be able to make an environment unique to each child's special development. Art and music 'therapy' is how I am able to connect so closely to each child. No matter what disability they may have, they have the ability to be wonderful people!
