About Kjelson

Ever since I was little I have always loved kids. By the time I was 12 I had two younger sisters who I helped raise and who I still love taking care of. After they were born I knew that when I grew up I wanted to work with kids in some way. Throughout high school I babysat, volunteered in elementary classrooms, volunteered in various kid camps and one summer took a trip to Costa Rica to work with an orphanage. In 2018, I graduated with a bachelor's in family consumer science and a minor in child advocacy. After college, I decided to take a year to just work and really figure out what I wanted to do. I accepted a preschool teacher position teaching 18-month-olds to 3-year-olds. That's when I found a love for teaching. As of June 2019, I started my masters in special education to be able to one day reach my goal of teaching more beautiful minds.
