I'd describe my personality as caring, empathetic and energetic I like caring for seniors because I learn a lot from them and they help me to slow down in a fast pace world I'm looking for a job that is meaningful and helps seniors to stay independent as long as possible and creates a high quality of life for them I started caring for seniors when I was 16 years old by cleaning and going shopping for seniors. Later in life I became a CNA and Dementia Care Practitioner and I am now a certified Activity Specialist with Dementia focus In my spare time, I like to hike, make soap, paint , garden and fix things in the house One thing you should know about me is that my grandma and my aunt both had Dementia and I made it my mission to educate myself about the best practices and methods to care for people with dementia and related cognitive impairments My skills include caring, validating and finding appropriate things to do with seniors depending on their skills and possibilities.
