About Kimyatta

My name is Kimyatta I have my BA in criminal justice from Saint Joseph with a focus in forensics and currently pursuing occupational therapy! :) I am a learning disability instructional assistant currently teaching 6th grade and I am in my 5th year. I have experience working and teaching children with ADHD and dyslexia in grade levels from 1st-8th. I have experience with teaching reading, math and writing. Also, I like to have an effective multi-sensory instructional approach using phonological awareness, phonology, and morphology. I'm really committed to fostering a sense of achievement and helping students skills expand so that reading transforms into an enjoyable experience. I am also a former basketball coach with 10 yrs of experience. Motivating and encouraging kids has always been a huge passion of mines. I absolutely LOVE the work I do!
