About Kimberly

I am currently a teacher in PFISD, and have been teaching for 8 years now. I have experience in 2nd grade, third grade, and kindergarten. I taught and tutored for three years in New York prior to moving to Austin, Tx. My certification in New York and Texas is from early childhood to 6th grade, and I am also a certified English as a Second Language teacher in Texas. I am very familiar with teaching the foundational skills all the way to preparing students for the STAAR exam. I taught third grade for five years, so I have a solid understanding of the STAAR exam and what is needed to be successful. I currently teach kindergarten, and have already completed the Texas Reading Academy. I have a lot of experience with students who speak limited English from all parts of the world, wide ranges of academic abilities, dyslexia and dysgraphia, learning disabilities, and other 504 or IEP needs. I am confident I can help your child grow academically, but most importantly gain confidence.
