About Kendra

Kendra worked for our family for approximately 1.5 months. She watched our 20-month-old son for 4 hours two days a week. Kendra interviewed really well, answered her phone on the first ring, was nice, sweet, and polite. During the interview she told us she lived nearby; however we discovered after hiring her that she spent a large majority of her time at another home about two hours away. This was problematic on several occasions when Kendra was at her "other" house and had hardships preventing her from working her scheduled shifts. Unfortunately we also discovered her car seat (also used to transport other children) was not installed properly in her vehicle. During the 1.5 months Kendra worked for our family, she constantly had reasons for being unavailable (stuck in a snow blizzard, car trouble, problems with her other house), etc. We do not consider her to be reliable. When Kendra decided to work for another family, we didn't get any notice. She was supposed to come one week and called with an emergency and then cancelled the rest of the week because another family wanted her to start sooner than expected. We felt she should have fulfilled her current job instead of prioritizing a new family. I wish I could give her a higher rating because she was pretty good with our 20-month-old son, but I can't in good conscience do so knowing she may do the same with other families in the future.
