About Kayla

Hello, I am a graduate at Colgan Highschool taking the Teachers for Tomorrow college course. I've worked as a swim coach lead at SwimKids for 1 year, teaching kids from ages 1-17 years. Most importantly, I have 1 year experience working at a teachers aide. I have a strong passion for education and children, so my goal is to become a teacher! I'd be happy to incorporate tutoring and additive swim lessons! I am currently (shallow-water up to 5 ft) lifeguard certified. I have a valid drivers license and a working vehicle. Additionally, I am fully COVID vaccinated. My approach to babysitting is one that incorporates the child and their interests as much as possible. In my college course, I have learned about many of the fundamental sciences behind child development. I try my best to continue looking for new ways to nurture and engage children.
