About Katie

I like working with kids because kids have a fresh view of the world. They have so many ideas and they have open eyes ready to learn and grow. It's inspiring. I started working with kids when I was a teenager and babysat a couple families in my hometown. I continued babysitting and started tutoring throughout college. Once graduated I spent a year working in Kansas City in the Kansas City School district as a Pre-K literacy tutor. It was an amazing experience where I worked one on one with 4 and 5 years old every school day for the entire year! during this time I also spent the year nannying for a family in the area. Since then I've continued babysitting and have regularly tutored as well. In my spare time, I like to usually read, garden, or cook.
