About Katie

Hello, I am Katie. I am a special education middle school English teacher specializing in kids with autism. recently graduated from Cal Poly with a bachelor's degree in English and a minor in studio art. In the past, I have obtained tutoring certification and worked for many families. Before Care, I tutored some of my neighbors and cousins since I was in 6th grade. I started tutoring through Care in 2019 and have worked with kids as young as 4 and as old as 16 in all subjects including English, Math, Science, History, music, Spanish, etc. Additionally, as an English major, I gained various crucial writing skills which I utilize in my own work, but also to help others. I corrected countless peer essays through high school and college and would be happy to help with more.
