About Kathryn

Hi! My name is Katie, I am 22 years old and I am a recent UMass Amherst graduate. I have babysat a range of age groups from newborns to about 12-year-old children since the age of 15, and have also worked as a camp counselor for 3 years. I regularly volunteer for a nonprofit organization (known as The Great Blizz) teaching children and teenagers with developmental disabilities such as autism and Down syndrome how to ice skate. I also have experience working with elders diagnosed with memory loss disease such as Alzheimer's and dementia. I worked as an activities assistant in a nursing home and now volunteer! I am very passionate about the work I do and hope that I will be able to share my passion and positivity with you! I'd describe my personality as peaceful, positive, and kind I started working with kids when I was 13 years old working as a mothers helper. In my spare time, I like to read, spend time with my family and friends, practice yoga, paint, and workout.
