About Kathleen

I am a new mom to a wonderful daughter born in February 2023. I am looking to find a childcare position where my daughter can accompany me. I am a fun-loving and patient caregiver that has 7 years experience working with children from infants to middle school age. I have worked as an in-home nanny, a summer camp leader, an after school instructor, and a classroom counselor for children with trauma histories. The years I spent working in classrooms I received formal and hands-on training including, but not limited to, conducting fun experiments and crafts, helping children understand and cope with overwhelming emotions, and using strengths based communication techniques. I love being outdoors and have an extensive horticulture and agriculture background - I love teaching kids about nature and where our food comes from! With my skills and interests I can provide a positive and fun environment that fosters curiosity while also having compassion and patience for the harder moments.
