About Katherine

I am a seasoned teacher with 6 younger brothers and sisters. So, I spent most of my life helping raise my family, and after college I continued to raise kids in the classroom. I taught middle school for 5 years before moving to China to teach English language for 3. I've been subbing ever since I got back. I like playing outdoors, doing arts and crafts, and even playing video games! I love a good book or Disney movie, and I can quote Star Wars or Lord of the Rings like it's my job. I'd describe my personality as funny, thoughtful, and honest. I like working with kids because I like how they see the world with childlike bliss, and I enjoy encouraging them to learn new things. I started working with kids when my first sibling was born in 1993. I've been a helpful big sister ever since! Professionally, I've been a teacher since 2014. In my spare time, I like to read, play video games, and go for walks. My skills include CPR, conscious parenting strategies, creativity.
