Katherine (Katie) worked for us as a caregiver for my mother from about February 2022 to June 2023. Katherine was huge help to our family in a time of need. My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and it became clear to us that she needed more help as she was living alone at the time. Katie began spending time as a companion to my mother. She reminded my mom to take her medication, made meals, transported her to her different activities and places of interest. Katherine also went on walks with my mom. As my mom’s memory deteriorated, Katie began to spend more hours with my mother, up to 13 hrs/day, and helped with more, including dressing and making sure she was toileted. Katie and my mother developed a nice, trusting relationship, and my mother was comfortable with Katie. With Katie’s help and encouragement, my mother remained engaged with her friends and her church at a time when those familiar relationships and environments where very helpful and a big blessing to my mother. Katie was even instrumental in helping my mother develop new relationships with neighbors. We really appreciate all Katie did for my mother and the care and compassion she showed over the time she was with my mother. I recommend her to anyone who needs help at a difficult time in their family’s life. Chris
