Hello! I am a highly experienced 28-year-old with a great passion for kids. I am a licensed El. Ed and Early Childhood teacher in the state of MN and hold a separate Multiple Subject Credential in CA. I have taught in Pre-K, K, and First grade classrooms, specialized literacy programs, and worked with multiple families over the years. As a nanny, I have cared for children ranging in age from newborn-7th graders. I'm passionate about engaging children in fun, hands-on, and developmentally appropriate activities that help them grow in all aspects of life! If you have me in your home, you'll hear lots of language before baby can speak, learning through play, music (being played and made), the upholding of strong boundaries using reminding/redirecting/and reinforcing language, and even silence at times as I believe in taking a guide-on-the-side approach as small minds explore their big new world. Personally, I love time at the beach, a long walk with my pup, and crafts!

Kate has been our nanny for almost 3 years, helping with our 3YO daughter and 1YO son. I can't imagine anyone better taking care of our children. She is everything you want in a Nanny and more - dependable, responsible, loving, fun, caring, warm, creative, PATIENT, smart, knowledgable and more. A few things about Kate that make her an amazing Nanny and why any family would be lucky to have her. -I have never once worried about my children when they were in her care. -She has taught me more about parenting than I could have ever imagined. I would be lost without her knowledge, experience and coaching. -She is unbelievably patient, tactful and warm with toddlers and kids with big emotions. -She sets boundaries effectively and holds them. She knows when to be flexible and when to hold her ground. -She's able to keeps children at different ages engaged in different activities. -She is respectful of your home and understands the importance of keeping things clean, including your children. -She keeps kids on routine, but can be flexible when needed if schedules change. Overall, you just can't go wrong with Kate. She is the best of the best and we will miss her dearly.
