About Kasey

I am a local artist and mom of three young kids, and I provide enriching, creative arts activity-based companion care to older adults on Long Island. I have been working with the geriatric population since I was 3 years old, tagging along with my grandmother who worked for 30 years as a geriatric care manager! I have a BA in Gerontology from Ithaca College plus additional graduate credits in Social Work. During college, I concentrated on creating art classes for stroke and dementia patients. After I graduated from college, I worked as the Director of Therapeutic Recreation at a memory care facility in Nassau County. I was responsible for planning creative and intellectually stimulating programming for the residents with dementia. I left the workforce to raise my children, but now that my youngest is in school, I'm excited to get back to work!
