My experience taking care of children began in my teens when I began baby-sitting. My first baby-sitting job was with five children. I grew to love this. Each time I would baby-sit these children I would bring over a "kit" that would amuse them. Later on, I became a 24-hour camp counselor for kids ranging in age from 5-13 years. A few years ago, I had the opportunity to take care of children and infants in a day care. Why I am so passionate of taking care of children is because I truly enjoy coming along-side a child watching them grow and being part of that process. There is nothing like it.
