Karla has great communication skills and is a very nice person, but after our experience I question whether or not she's qualified to take care of infants. She placed the baby down on her tummy to sleep, despite me telling her that the baby should be placed on her back. I had texted and also verbally shared instructions that baby should only be allowed to tummy sleep if she rolls over by herself and seems comfortable staying there, but that she'll likely need to be flipped back over and to keep a close eye on her. So I was pretty disappointed that she put the baby on her tummy intentionally. The baby cried quite a bit, so eventually she did place her on her back. There were a couple other oddities: She kept the light on in the room until the baby fell asleep and texted me asking if she should turn off the light. I had told her that we dim the lights at night when giving the last bottle, and I assumed that she would know to turn off the light once the baby was in bed. And when I woke up this morning, I found out that she had kept the baby's onesie on underneath her pajamas and also left the diaper pail open (so stinky!). I'm sure she's great with toddlers or older kids but she seemed flustered with a baby and didn't really listen to my instructions.
