About Karen

I am moving to the Chattanooga area in a few weeks, and will need a part time job. With four of my own children and 9 fosters over the years, and now a dozen grandchildren, I think I have a pretty good grasp on teaching. I have taught the kindergarten and preschool classes at our church, and for several years, I taught a cooking class to the youth from our church (as well as some of the neighborhood kids). I enjoy teaching. I have a BA in psychology, which will allow me to meet the students where they are and help them through struggles with as little frustration as possible. I have worked with veterans and first responders to help them lessen their anxiety, so I am confident about helping young people with this if necessary. I have some medical training, and I am CPR/First Aid certified.
