About Karen

I have been a nanny off and on for 12 years, while working in my field and passion of social work/education. I was involved with NK Boys and Girls Club for 10 years beginning as a program staff and then became the director, I love working with kids of all ages, especially those who need us the most! I have provided care for 4 families in the past, with a variety of ages of children (newborn-13 years old). Two families had one child. One family had 4 children. I drove kids to school, took them on outings, cooked them dinner, helped with homework and put them to bed. The past two years I've taught preschool and am currently taking this year "off" to attend Olympic college finishing up my BA in Early Childhood Education. I have a Portable Background check through the DCYF, as well as one here on care. com. I am BBP, CPR, and First Aid certified. I have behavior management training as well as sensory training and have my initial Early Childhood Education certificate.
