Karen has a wonderful gift for interacting with infants and young children. She was hired as a caregiver for my daughter's twins, born prematurely and one needing specialized care for post-liver-transplant, and assisted us in caring for these babies until they were healthy and old enough to go to daycare near my daughter's job. I was in the home during much of this time caring for my daughter (who donated the liver to her daughter) and helping with the newborn twins & 3 yr old sister. Karen jumped right in and made sure the twins were well cared for, attending to their developmental needs as well as immediate physical needs. Her ever-present smile and joyful interaction with the babies was a blessing during a time of intense medical issues in the household, and her gift for encouraging the babies to develop their muscle control as well as surrounding them with love and joy to shape their brain development were crucial to their successful growth.
