About Karen

Always an animal lover. I grew up with a pony that was taken in and rehabbed by my Grandfather. He turned into a companion and champion barrel racer for my mother, aunt, and uncle, and lived to be 21. He went from being "a mean pony", to having guidance, caring, and purpose, and in his later years, to respite in the country, to adoring and being adored by his three girls, my sisters and I. In more recent times, have homed two cats that lived out their years with us. And, rescued three dogs. Two required significant work, time, and patients to rehabilitate. These two lived out their years with adventure, tremendous love, and in their rightful positions as full "pack members", as family. Our current dog had the least impact from his uncertain beginning, he is a special boy and well loved. We miss the ones who have gone before and are committed to providing security, love, home, and family to all animals we adopt. Also have experience with rabbits and other miscellaneous animals.
