This 3rd grade teacher and empty-nester has been working summers as a nanny for the same family for the past 5 years. They no longer need one, so I find myself available. Each day I can not only care for your children, but am skilled at building their maturity and interpersonal skills. In my former summer job, we always did an hour of academic work (mostly reading and math, a little writing) each morning before spending the rest of the day on activities, outdoor play, and play dates. I teach 3rd grade in the highly acclaimed district of Whitefish Bay. This year I received my designation as a National Board Certified Teacher. I have raised four children to adulthood. Sent our kids to MIT, Michigan State, Northwestern, and Ohio State. They now work at Baird, CME Group, Kimpton Hotels, and the youngest is an RA at Ohio State.

Karen worked for us for five years providing both Summer child care and year round tutoring for our three children. During the Summer, she structured morning tutoring curriculum (she is a grade school teacher), coordinated schedules, activities, transportation and meals for our three children. During the school year, she would come one night a week to tutor each child with difficult subjects. Karen was an excellent employee and all three kids really enjoyed her. One of our children is diabetic, which she helped manage. Karen is a mother of four successful adult children who are either attending college or employed. We would have definitely rehired but our childcare needs have changed. Our family would give Karen the highest recommendation. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
