As her direct supervisor, I have been lucky to have Karalyn as an activity leader for the past 2 years. Since she began working she has shown tremendous enthusiasm for teaching and counseling our clients in recreational therapy activities. Karalyn has demonstrated initiative and empathy on more than one occasion while leading adults and teens of various ability levels in social and recreational activities. She is always willing to give extra one-on-one attention to clients so that they can achieve their personal goals. More than anything, Karalyn has shown compassion, patience, and care when leading community-based activities. Her dedication to serving others, her passion for recreation therapy, and her ability to help others learn new skills are the essential ingredients needed to teach any activity.
