I love the creative minds children have and the joy they get from seeing me as someone fun. I originally. Started babysitting when I was in high school. I would watch my neighbors granddaughters on a regular bandaid. I also have house sat for them and pet sat for them on different occasional They recently moved and I was the only non family member with a key to their house. How to solve a problem effectively 1.) Use nice words 2.) tell an adult 3.) take extreme actions to show how frustrating the action is. Now there is a line that can be a too extreme of an action to take but more kids don't cross it. I like to educate children on how they can use those steps and as a last resort in a group setting ask the adult if they can be moved closer so the adult can watch over and talk more with the other child. I listen to what they have to say before I get mad if I did not see the whole issue.
