About Kaitlyn

Hey there! I am currently majoring in Forensic Studies at Florida Gulf Coast University. While I am not working towards a degree relating to childcare, I have a lot of experience in the field of childcare. I have 4+ years of experience working with children. Not only am I CPR and first aid certified but during my high school career, I worked towards my CDA. Throughout this experience, I worked in the preschool there with ages 3-5 and set up many lesson plans/activities ranging from arts and crafts to science. In my sophomore year, I volunteered at a different preschool working with infants and toddlers. Additionally, in the summer of 2022, I was a camp counselor and worked with ages 5-13. This job not only gave me the chance to work with a vast age group, but it also taught me a lot about the different ways kids think and how to correctly handle their emotions along with their likes/dislikes.
