About Kacie
I am a certified special ed and early childhood teacher. I taught in a self-contained, special ed classroom for 4 years and now work part-time as a tutor and piano teacher. I have experience teaching students with cognitive, communicative, and behavioral disabilities. While I am certified to teach preschool-3rd grade, I do have resources and experience with teaching outside of this age range. My passion is to teach students by using engaging, hands-on activities to promote academic and social growth. The rates include my prep time, all materials, gas, and driving time. Kacie has been a big blessing for our family! My oldest daughter has sensory processing disorder (SPD) and speech language delay and best learns by engaging all of her senses. Kacie has gone out of her way to create activities which engage her senses and keep her focused. Kacie has been only been tutoring her since mid-July and we can already see a difference with her confidence in reading and number recognition in math! We highly recommend Kacie. She is kind, patient and truly takes the time to develop strategies that encourage her students to develop confidence in themselves. This is a huge deal for a perfectionist like my daughter who at times becomes discouraged and frustrated with herself. My daughter looks forward to working with her every week!
