About Julie

I'm known as a responsible, reliable, and fun sitter for children. Although I'm currently a student at MTSU's music school, I'm not a "typical" college student. After graduating high school and before enrolling in college, I operated my own graphic design business and taught private art lessons for five years. During that time, I completed distance training with the Art Instruction Schools of Minnesota. As a result, I bring both art and music to my childcare assignments and enjoy sharing creative times with the children I manage. My personal background has also prepared me for nurturing young folks. I'm the fourth in a family of eight children, including several with special needs (Down syndrome, learning delays, and autism). In addition, I've been baby-sitting since I was 16 (I'm now soon-to-be 27) and look forward to further opportunities to help with children who need loving attention.

As a first time mom I knew that no one would love my baby the way that I do... And no one would want to watch my son while I work from home... And prepping for someone to come in would just be more work, right? Wrong! I was so very wrong... Julie is a person that finding the words to describe is difficult because each week I confirm that she is just too good to be true. The love that she has for my little guy is visible in her every action. She arrives early each day prepared to play hard and to make sure he is cared for! She anticipates what he may need or wants and takes care of it...despite me being an office away! She cares for him with such patience and grace, even reminding me sometimes that he's just a kid. Now that the weather is cooler, she's even brought fun arts and crafts for them to tinker with to keep them busy! Julie is seriously an answer from God. If you are unsure about Julie and her fit for your family, give her one day! You'll be amazed too, we adore her!!
