About Julie

I'd describe my personality as fun, personable, caring. I like working with kids because they're fun, they're smart, and they're always learning. I'm looking for a job because I enjoy children (and adults) and now that my own children are grown, I miss that interaction. I started working with kids when I was a child entertaining my younger cousins. I have three wonderful grown adult children, one in New York City, one in Louisville, and one in Lexington. In my spare time, I like to hang out with my husband, travel, go to the pool, play tennis and pickle ball, read, and bake. One thing you should know about me is that I have two kids with type 1 diabetes and I have a degree from Duke (but don't hold that against me). My skills include an innate understanding of what kids want, and more importantly, need, the ability to teach them boundaries that make them feel secure, and the ability to have fun with them.
