Your loved one deserves to be cared for with respect, dignity and compassion, especially entering the most fragile stage of their lives. In 2011 I started providing senior care for a family friend who was suffering from Alzheimer's disease, they didn't have anyone else at the time so I offered my help , I instantly felt a strong personal connection and a big since of compassion, been able to provide care for another human been was something I wanted to do long term, over the years I worked with patients with Alzheimer's disease , quadriplegic, limited mobility, memory lost and that gave me the opportunity to learn that each patient is different and requires attention to even the smallest detail, from bathing, cooking meals, feeding , exercising (specially stretching exercising) , managing meds, going for long walks, providing transportation to doctor's appointments or to visit family and friends, etc. I specially learn the importance of been committed, respectful, humble and loving.
