About Joy

Hi! My name is Joy and I am from the beautiful Washington state! I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Education from the University of Washington. In college, I got to visit local schools and work with children of all ages and post grad, I worked at a Montessori for a year before moving to the Los Angeles area. In LA, I substitute teach on occasion and also have experience nannying! I'd describe my personality as bright, dedicated, and sensitive. I like working with kids because I never stop learning when I'm with them. They know so much about life! I grew up playing cello and piano so I love to fiddle with those when I can. I enjoy keeping myself active with ice skating. Also, books! They have become my newfound obsession and have 3-4 at my bedside at all times haha. Growing up with a single mom and 2 younger brothers, I would say I've been raising children my whole life haha! I feel really grateful to be a part of a close family where I hold great responsibility.
