About Josh

Greetings! I would love to give you a window into who I am. I was born and raised in Maryland, making me the fourth child in my family. My parents instilled values surrounding nature, education, and personal responsibility, which live on with me today. Throughout college I interned at several, notable clinical settings in Baltimore that specialized in child family therapy, neurobehavioral challenges for young children, and crisis intervention with adults. After graduating with my Bachelors in science in Psychology, I moved to the Big Island of Hawaii, where I worked in a horticultural therapy program with young adults struggling with developmental differences or mental health distress. Here, I would work 16 hour shifts in direct service for 8 consecutive days in the field. After nearly two years in this position, I transitioned to work in a residential therapy program in Oregon, caring for a similar population. Now I am embarking on my masters degree in social work at CSU!
