I love working with children and teens. While obtaining my bachelor's degree, I focused on Psychology and behavioral disorders. I had an employer with 2 children within the Autism Spectrum. I worked for her family for 5 years, and I was able to form a great bond and friendship with her children. I have a letter of recommendation from the family described, available if interested.

24 November 2014 Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing on behalf of Ms Jordan. I have interacted with Jordan within several contexts and feel well qualified to write on her behalf. She was, first, a student in a freshman course I taught that introduces students to the ins and outs of college. Like many freshmen during their first semester at college, Jordan felt the challenges of all the changes that take place as a student adjusts to life in college. However, her attitude was always positive, and she wanted to take advantage of all that Culver-Stockton could offer despite her own financial constraints. During the second semester of her freshman year, she applied to be a tutor in our Academic Support Center, where I was serving as Director. Within this context, I observed Jordan in a work environment. I again saw her display a calm and determined attitude, even though she was taking on a tough position. Other tutors expressed concern that I hired a freshman for such a position. But I felt Jordan had a lot to offer other folks who were like her--freshmen who were still adjusting to this new environment and who appreciated a tutor who was like them, someone they could talk to, someone who had also struggled in classes. She helped her colleagues in their 100-level classes by sharing her own study techniques and helping to arrange study sessions. Jordan was our babysitter from 2009 to 2013. Because my two children are on the autism spectrum, I had not always found the right "fit" with childcare. Jordan's calm and flexible attitude helped her adjust to some unpredictable moments with my children. Jordan is motivated and willing to do a good job, regardless of what a job requires. This is a rare quality in someone her age, in my experience. Ms Jordan has my highest recommendation. Sincerely, Jayme.
