About Jonny

I have devoted many hours to taking care of children in my life. I am currently a senior at Northeastern University and I am in DREAM Mentoring which is a club that pairs me with an 8-year-old boy who I spend time with on Fridays. I have two younger siblings that are twins so I have always taken on the role of being responsible and protective. For three summers during my college career, I babysat three boys of the ages 8, 9 and 10. I was a writing tutor at the Trinity College Writing Center and I was also involved in Capitol Squash, an after school program for underprivileged youth living in Hartford, CT. I am originally from Glastonbury, CT but I have traveled to over 17 countries in my life. I have a passion for providing aid to youth living in impoverished villages in the Dominican Republic and I have gone on mission trips there every summer for the past four years. Being a good mentor and taking care of children is a large part of who I am as a person!

Jonny is hands on and truly cares about the kids he is working with. He is engaging, fun and responsible. I hired Jonny to help take care of our three boys. They were 4, 5 & 6 when he started and they are now 10, 11 & 12 and still beg to have him over. I trusted him to drive my kids to their appointments with our family car. We had other sitters in the past who would sit on their phones and ignore our kids. Jonny was different. He is like a fun big brother who is spontaneous and energetic. He helps to instill values like sharing and caring. He is an excellent role model for our boys and our kids thrive with him. Jonny became more than their caretaker. He is family to us.
